PROJECT 3: Early Letterform Publication

We will now create a 4 page booklet on the letterform used for project one: early letterform. For this project you will be re-editing your designs from project one to create a unified design theme for your publication. A minimum of one of your four designs should look completely different as you redesign your project towards the goal of a unified visual identity. It must be very clear which pages are symbol prominent, text type prominent, and display type prominent. The page sizes will remain the same but your designs are now more complex as they must function in and of themselves and also as a part of a two page spread and also as part of a four page booklet. The same four pages must now relate to each other in terms of their design approach. Your designs must be variations on a theme in the same way that musical stanzas are variations on a theme set forth in the first stanza of a composition.

PROJECT 2: GRIDS, Printing In Germany

Create 2 OR 3 two page spreads dealing with the subject matter presented, 2 OR 3, whatever it takes, your choice.
ALL TEXT MUST BE USED
You may decide on the number and sized of images used.
Stick with our classic typefaces, you may use two of your choice.
Design visually (not mechanically) as if these spreads were going in a magazine - this allows you to look at the entire spread as it will appear in the magazine.
